The Flex-6 Nano is Trio’s latest powerful DIN rail mounted stand-alone flexible and compact EtherCAT Motion Coordinator. It is capable of full machine control as with any PLC or PAC, but can also fully control multiple kinematic systems including 6DOF robots, 2 and 3 axis Delta mechanisms, 5-axis gantries, SCARAs and many more.
Its on board memory can be expanded to 32 GByte using a Micro SD card.
The Flex-6 Nano can be used as a stand-alone EtherCAT controller controlling up to 64 axes, or can "plug" straight into our EtherCAT Flexslice System allowing expansion of the system to include discrete and analog I/O, analog servo and stepper interfacing, and other functionality.
The Flex-6 Nano is programmed like all our controllers using Trio’s decades established high-level structured BASIC or any standard IEC 61131-3 language such as Ladder or Functional Block. Ethernet connectivity supports EtherNet/IP, Modbus/TCP and UPD.
All Trio controllers use the Uniplay integrated HMI system that allows single-point programming using our Motion Perfect v4 environment. No independent programming of the HMI required. The HMI screens designed in Motion Perfect are stored on the controller in the main project, making development seamless, fast and easy.
