35 Years of iC-Haus: Expansion of Production Facility in Germany
Just in time for its 35th anniversary, iC-Haus is expanding its production capacity in Bodenheim, Germany, with its fifth building section.
Development, production, and qualification as well as testing and sales are now concentrated at the company’s headquarter on 18,000 m2 (193,750 ft2). Since its founding in 1984, the name iC-Haus stands for application and customer-specific integrated circuits, which are acquired and offered by a worldwide network of “iC-Haus”. The iC-Haus Group now includes design and application centers and sales partners in Germany, Spain, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China. Thus, services and series products with the “iC” as a trademark for quality and a high degree of innovation and integration are offered close to and in the language of the customers. Approximately 320 employees work at the headquarters in Bodenheim in development, wafer processing, assembly, testing, and qualification of integrated circuits and microsystems.
With specific highly integrated solutions, iC-Haus holds a leading position in automation technology. Laser drivers for nanosecond pulses and simultaneous pulse powers of several 100 W by iC-Haus offer customized solutions for LIDAR applications. Furthermore, iC-Haus stands out globally due to unique products including twin-encoder chips and reflective absolute encoders, which as system-on-chips also contain optical sensors in addition to mixed-mode circuit blocks. iCs and microsystems with integrated optical or magnetic sensors benefit from production facilities at the Bodenheim site with its own assembly line in a cleanroom.
