US Digital Corporation is pleased to announce the release of its latest USB data acquisition device, the USB4. It has digital and analog I/O features along with the ability to record data from up to 4 incremental encoders. In order to maintain streaming data integrity over a USB link to a host PC, the USB4 incorporates a 32 M byte FIFO to buffer captured data when the host PC or USB link is busy. The USB4 comes with easy to use demonstration software, Windows DLLs for C++ and Visual Basic (including source) at no extra cost.

 The X3Q utilizes MEMS(micro electro-mechanical systems) technology to sense tilt angles over the entire 360° range. Each axis appears as a virtual incremental encoder and reports the incremental and absolute tilt angle via 3-channel quadrature outputs. Any resolution may be specified between 4 and 36000 positions per 360 degrees (1 to 9000 CPR). Positions are reported 560 times per second.
