The Serapid Rigid Chain Technology has a proven track record of reliability and toughness going back 35 years. The Rigid Chain is currently used to solve some of the most difficult motion problems presented across a variety of industries. The Serapid LinkLift is a telescopic lifting column designed to solve many of the problems associated with vertical motion. It can accommodate high trim lifting applications quietly, smoothly and safely. While frequently called upon for stage lifting applications in theatres and show venues, it has recently been used for industrial applications. These include a scrap pusher moving 4400 pounds 118 inches at the speed of one inch per second, a lifting table raising 15,400 pounds 108 inches at a speed of two inches per second, and a push/pull system pushing 8800 pounds 110 inches at a speed of 12 inches per second to supply a system to press tobacco. The LinkLift chain technology consists of block-shaped chain links with square cross sections. These cross sections allow the center of gravity to be located in the geometric center. The inner and outer plates of the links are designed into the chain to overlap, creating double sided strength. Inside the drive housing of the LinkLift, the links are interlocked with the teeth of a gear sprocket to create the telescopic lifting column. The vertical column can then be extended to great heights while equaling the strength of a steel beam and maintaining quiet, smooth movement. There are a wide range of sizes available, from the LinkLift 30 to the LinkLift 100. The LinkLift can be as compact as seven inches, and extend to lengths of up to 23 feet. Loads range from one to ten tons, and speeds range from 20 feet per minute up to 40 feet per minute, depending on the system.
