Product ReleaseKTR's ROTEX GS – Backlash-free Intermediate Shaft Coupling, Type ZR3
 The new ROTEX® GS ZR3 - intermediate shaft coupling for a backlash-free and vibration-damping torque transmission with large shaft distances - has a particularly low mass inertia. We can achieve this by using aluminium materials for the components. Due to the low unit weight operating speeds of up to 3,000 rpm or standard lengths of up to 4m without the use of intermediate bearings are possible. We will be pleased to make the selection for you. The special feature of the precision tube from aluminium is the close manufacturing tolerances. Thus true runnings are achieved. The special highly-resistant adhesive used to assemble the hubs and tube has an excellent resistance to chemicals and environmental influences.  A further extraordinary feature of this coupling is the split coupling hub enabling an easy radial assembly of the coupling and the exchange of spiders without having to displace the drive and the driven side. The optional feather keyways in the hubs are manufactured flush to each other. With the split hubs including the feather keyway the torque is transmitted positively through frictional engagement. The coupling can, of course, be combined with other hub types like clamping hubs or clamping ring hubs, too. The ROTEX® GS ZR3 can be used in many areas of machine manufacture and one good example of an application is in the construction of workshop maintenance lifting machines. This enables several lifts to be synchronised in order to lift the assemblies horizontally.  |
