Product ReleaseINFRANOR USA Offers the Mesa MSD Series of Amplifiers for Space Constrained Servo Motor Control The Mesa MSD series amplifiers are designed for controlling servo motors in a compact package. As a universal type drive, it is used for brush or brushless trapezoidal or sinusoidal servo motors. Voltages are available from 24 Vdc up to 400 VAC, and switching frequencies to 20Khz, with peak currents from 8 Amps to 30 Amps. Feedback control is provided for resolver, encoder, dc tachometer or BEMF system devices. Many applications utilize encoder feedback to drive servo motors up to 30,000 for high speed positioning and regulation. All models have CE approval.Performance enhancements include high dynamic speed regulation, by utilizing encoder feedback with very low sample period and can enhance deviation loop. This solution is technically far better and more cost effective than a resolver solution. Additionally, the MSD has the capability to drive servo motors at extremely low speeds, i.e. 1 revolution per hour. At this low speed, adjustments can be easily completed. The use of a high resolution encoder, 5000 PPR, with brush servo motors have been successfully used in the semiconductor industry for crystal growth applications.
