Filed under:
Offered as a component set or housed unit, the SHF series unit design utilizes the patented “S” tooth profile, making it both axially shorter and lower in weight, and provides significantly increased torque capacity when compared to conventional harmonic drive gearing. Machine designers can incorporate the SHF harmonic drive component sets directly into their equipment, while the housed version incorporates an output flange supported by a large diameter cross roller bearing, providing exceptional moment stiffness and load capacity. The outer diameter of the units pictured are 104 mm and 115 mm, with a hollow shaft I.D. of 33 mm and 29 mm for component set and housed unit respectively. Gear reduction ratios are available from 50:1 through 160:1 in a single stage. These products have a rated output torque of 590 in-lbs, and a momentary peak torque of 2780 in-lbs.
