New Range of High Precision Gear Racks for Machine Tools by Atlanta Drive Systems
ATLANTA Drive Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce a new range of High-Precision Gear Racks developed specifically for machine tool applications requiring the highest levels of precision and power. This new rack range is precision manufactured in a controlled environment, achieving a tooth quality of DIN 4, with total pitch error of less than twelve microns over a meter length and a parallelism tolerance of less than fifteen microns. The high precision pitch of the racks can eliminate the need for electronic compensation and the high precision parallelism allows for drives with extremely low backlash without the need for preloading. ...More >>Expanded Servo Reducer Range Offered by Atlanta Drive Systems
![]() ATLANTA Drive Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the expanded range of Servo Worm Reducers, now offering four levels of precision to meet any application requirements. Building on the popular High-Performance (HP) Servo-Worm Reducer product, Atlanta has added a High-Torque, Economy and Basic version to complete the range. The High-Torque (HT) version offers 150% the torque capacity of the standard Servo-Worm Reducer, while reducing the backlash level to less than one arc-minute. The output was also redesigned for increased bearing capacity and an option for flanged connections based on ISO 9409. The Economy (E-Servo) version offers the same torque capacity as the standard Servo-Worm Reducer, with a backlash level of less than six arc-minutes. A simplified housing and assembly allows for significant price savings. The Basic (B-Servo) version offers 90% the torque capacity of the standard Servo-Worm Reducer, with a backlash level of less than twelve arc-minutes. ...More >>Atlanta New High-Thrust Linear Actuators Offer Clean, Precise Positioning
ATLANTA Drive Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce a new range of High-Thrust Linear Actuators, offering clean, precise linear positioning by means of rotating or non-rotating spindles. Linear speeds up to 550 inches per minute can be achieved and strokes up to 20 inches are available standard. Axial load capacities up to 36,000 lb. are possible, with higher load capacities reached by using two actuators in tandem to share the loads. Applications requiring precise, controlled linear motion with a high degree of safety are perfect for these drives. Typical applications include sheet metal bending, hydraulic cylinder replacements, conveyor tensioning, and scissor-lift table drives. ...More >>New Integrated Rack Range Mounts Directly to Most Linear Guide Rails by Atlanta Drive Systems
ATLANTA Drive Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce a new range of Integrated Racks which mount directly to most standard linear guide rails, eliminating the need for additional machining and alignment, saving time and money. Compact, performance optimized designs can easily be achieved with these racks. By mounting the rack and rail together, the need for a separate mounting surface for the rail is eliminated. Additional alignment between the rack and rail is also not necessary, since it is possible to assemble the rack to the rail off of the machine frame. ...More >>Ultra-Precise Positioning Achieved with Zero-Backlash Rack & Pinion Drives from ATLANTA Drive Systems
![]() ATLANTA Drive Systems, Inc. offers a range of zero-backlash rack & pinion drives that eliminate system backlash by means of a split-pinion and dual-pinion arrangement, providing ultra-precise positioning and repeatability. Positioning accuracy is maintained during acceleration and deceleration, as well as for direction of travel reversals. The backlash is eliminated by using two pinions - one to drive the axis and the other to engage the opposite tooth flank and take up the backlash. Mechanically preloaded split-pinion drives utilize an axial spring to load one pinion half against the other. Electrically preloaded dual-pinion drives utilize two motors, each driving one pinion, which are loaded against each other by means of a special motor controller. ...More >>New TR Flanged Pinion Range Available from Atlanta Drive Systems
ATLANTA Drive Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce a new range of ISO 9409-1 flanged pinions, which have compact designs to reduce the amount of drive torque required. Traditionally, flanged pinions have large pitch diameters which increase the amount of torque on the reducer they mount to. With the new TR Pinion range, the pinion pitch diameters are significantly smaller, reducing the drive torque required and allowing a smaller reducer to be used.
