 Animatics Corporation, pioneer of Integrated Servo Technology has taken their best selling Integrated Servos, the SM2315D and SM2315DT and added power and functionality, while lowering the cost. The new products are called the SM2316D-PLS2 and the SM2316DT-PLS2. As before, these small servomotors are actually complete servo systems with built-in controller, amplifier and encoder, and are so programmable they often control entire machines. The "-PLS2" versions have undergone many enhancements.
Notwithstanding the added features and performance, the SM2316D-PLS2 and the SM2316DT-PLS2 are priced LOWER than their predecessors, further enabling machine builders to deploy Integrated Servo Technology to lower costs through shortened development times, shortened build times, and lower overall machine size and cost. |

SMNC is a G-Code based Servo Motion Control System that delivers multi-axis contouring without an expensive control panel and without a cabinet full of controls. With a suite of features, SMNC can convert CAD-dxf files into motion control g and m codes. With SMNC Software, one can deliver 3 axes of CNC at a cost comparable to a single annual service call for a traditional machine. 
The SM1720D, one of Animatics' most popular offerings in our Legend Series SmartMotors, has been redesigned and cost reduced to use the same industry-standard connectors that are available with our other SmartMotors: our Double D-sub connector with a 15-Pin D-sub I/O and a 7-Pin Combo D-sub Power and I/O.
Animatics has the ServoStep™, a new chapter in Animatics' SmartMotor™ Technology. The ServoStep was designed with one purpose in mind, to deliver to the marketplace the most cost-effective SmartMotor possible without sacrificing either features or benefits. 
Animatics Corporation achieves another industry first with the Add-A-Motor™ serial configuration cable. With Add-A-Motor cables and your SmartMotors, you get an entire “off the shelf” servo system solution, including the cables, that is ready to plug and play. The fully-molded Add-A-Motor cable connects SmartMotor to SmartMotor in a daisy-chain configuration for serial operation, thus eliminating the need to create custom, multi-axis cable configurations for each SmartMotor application. Add-A-Motor cables are designed specifically to supply DC power and RS-232 communications to multiple SmartMotor 1700 and 2300 Series motors. 
DeviceNet is a low-cost, open network standard that provides for reduced system complexity and significant reductions in wiring costs. DeviceNet allows different industrial devices such as Smartmotor™ and devices from other manufacturers (sensors, actuators, et al.) to work together on a single network, controlled by any number of commercially available DeviceNet master (or scanner) systems. DeviceNet may also provide communication links between subsystems or system level components. The results are improved control communications between devices and important device-level diagnostics. The DeviceNet Smartmotor™ can only be configured as a DeviceNet slave device, not a master.
JenCNC combines features of both a CAD/CAM and a Motion-Control Software package into a unique graphical user interface for controlling 2 to 4 SmartMotors in true 3D coordinated motion. Animatics launches the SM3416, NEMA 34 size low cost integrated servo motor. The SM3416 is exceptional, producing more than 1 Nm of torque at an unprecedented low cost.
Now, you can use SmartMotors with CAD/CAM. Animatics, the producer of the SmartMotor, a combined servo motor, controller and amplifier has been under extreme pressure from its customer base to make the product do Circular Interpolation for applications such as Milling, Turning, Laser and Water Jet Cutting and Glue Laying. Historically, machine builders could enjoy the benefits of the SmartMotor’s extreme integration only in applications with predominately linear motion.
