MAS42 and MAH42 Compact Absolute Encoders by CUI Inc

CUI Inc introduces a compact absolute encoder designed for applications where limited space is a consideration and up to 12 bits of resolution is needed. Measuring 52 mm in diameter and 30 mm high, the series is available in shaft (6mm shaft diameter) and hollow shaft (10mm bore diameter) versions. Typical applications include testing devices, printing machines, and measuring instruments. The units deliver 8 bits (256 PPR) to 12 bits (4096 PPR) of absolute position information with a gray code, natural binary, or BDC output. Capable of operating within a -10 to 70º C temperature range, the units can accurately measure the rotary process as fast as 6000rpm. The MAS42 and MAH42 can accept 5 and 12-24 V dc input supply voltage with a 100 mA max current. Pricing starts at $193 per unit in 1000 piece quantities.
