San Jose, CA - Avago Technologies, a leading supplier of analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, today announced it has received the 2008 Global Optocouplers Company of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting company. Avago was selected for its leadership in the optocoupler market, exceptional efforts to understand customer needs to increase customer satisfaction, and for demonstrating continued commitment to meeting the specific requirement of its customers.

In its announcement, Frost & Sullivan recognized Avago as a pioneer in the optocoupler market with regard to its technological innovation and development of new products and solutions using optocouplers. Moreover, the company which has captured more than 20 percent share of the global optocoupler market has also achieved undisputed market leadership in the production of photo IC-type optocouplers, with a share of more than 65 percent.
