The addition of Ethernet connectivity to Tolomatic’s ACS Stepper Drive/Controller brings greater flexibility and economy to electric actuator applications. The ACSwith Ethernet supports both Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP, allowing easy connectivity to Allen Bradley PLCs and many other PLCs and HMIs. With built-in configurations for all of Tolomatic’s electric actuators, the ACS with Ethernet makes creating linear motion very simple. The combination of the ACS and Tolomatic’s ERD low-cost rod-style electric actuators creates very economical solutions for automation applications such as product changeovers, diverting, sorting, pick-and-place, or pressing. |

New HM series motors are available in 42mm and 57mm frame sizes with short stack, one stack and two stack design in each frame size. Windings can be customized to satisfy specific application requirements at no extra cost. HM series motors include optional encoder mounting features, and their ability to adapt to closed loop control systems helps eliminate the need for costly customization. Depending on the stack length, HM 42 size motors provide holding torque up to 65 oz-in and HM57 size motors up to 330 oz-in, thus offering high system rigidity. |

The IDEA stepper motor drive platform now has the capability of communication using an RS-485 data protocol. The RS-485 protocol overcomes the limitations of other drive communication methods making the RS-485 IDEA drive module perfect for industrial applications. The main advantage of using the RS-485 protocol, especially for industrial equipment such as stepper drives, industrial motor drives, and servo systems, is the ability for long data transmissions while exhibiting excellent immunity to electrical noise.
