Haydon has a planetary Gear Train Pancake Motor For a given size motor, the larger the rotor, the more torque available. Haydon Switch & Instrument, Inc. came out with an elegant way to take advantage of the space available inside the rotor, using it to house a single stage planetary gear train. Built as such, a pancake motor that is 3.15 inches in diameter and only 0.5 inch thick can deliver over 100 ounce-inches of torque with this configuration.

Neugart offers two servo gearhead product lines with rotating output flange. The high precision / high performance, "PLF-HP series" as well as the precision value-economy "PLFE series"
These planetary servo gearheads can be optionally equipped with an internal spline output shaft. Standard solid or common hollow shaft gearboxes do not facilitate the possibility of a internal spline mounting.
