Industrial Encoder Corporation (IEC) has responded to customers that require Linear Measurements and want to use a very reliable Optical or Magnetic Rotary Encoder as the transducer. IEC's Linear Cable Transducer uses a braided Stainless Steel cable to measure up to 100' feet linear movements.
The IX700 Incremental Encoder and the AX700 Absolute Encoder have been widely adopted in hazardous duty applications and have demonstrated many competitive advantages in those applications. The IX700 and the AX700 are certified to EEx d IIC T6 (Tamb +60°C) and EEx d IIC T4 (Tamb +100°). The certification permits use in Zone 1 (Division 1) and Zone 2 (Division 2) applications and does not require an Intrinsic Safe Barrier for safe operation.
