Single Axis Linear Stepper Motors
H2W has always been an innovator and world leader in designing and manufacturing of both roller and air bearing single axis linear stepper motors.
A linear stepper motor is designed to move light loads very quickly or very slowly. They are supplied with integral air bearings that guide the forcer as it moves down the platen (track). The forcer assembly is normally the moving component.
There are mounting holes on the top of forcer to allow for payload mounting and there are threaded mounting holes on the bottom of the platen. Linear stepper motors can be driven with standard two or four phase micro-stepping drivers. Velocities in the range of 80 in/sec [2 m/sec] are achievable when coupled with the appropriate drive. Air bearing motors require 60 psi of compressed air to be supplied to the forcer.
