Next Generation Patient Hoists
If you find yourself in a hospital bed, chances are, Parvalux will be there to lift you up!
Any number of injuries and accidents can put us out-of-action. It is times like these that we realize the importance of equipment that can help get us on the move again. Lifting a less abled person presents challenges both for the career and the person involved. Avoiding injury and discomfort is a pre-requisite. ...however, reliability is absolutely mandatory.
Parvalux have been providing geared motors for patient hoists for many years now, so what’s new?
As technology has moved on, a number of factors have come into play. For example, the weight of the patient hoist needs to be as light as possible to minimize payload. Conversely, patients are getting heavier, an indiscrete yet true fact. Patient hoists have to be unobtrusive and thus extremely quiet. And finally, European Standards impose ever stricter performance criteria on the hoist and its longevity and reliability. So, longer life, quiet, light and able to reliably lift increasingly heavy loads…
In 2010, Parvalux rose to the challenge of developing a new solution to meet the ever increasing industry requirements. The result was the next generation hoist drive, the GB28.
Manufactured using an extremely light aluminum casting, a ground worm is mounted independent to the motor, driving a ground bronze gear. Using a unique fit between gear and shaft, the resulting solution is incredibly strong. Tested in our 24 x 7 laboratory, the lifting capability and life expectancy vastly outperformed competitor solutions… Launched successfully onto the market, the GB28 now provides the power behind respected OEM products.
With over 17 design engineers to hand, Parvalux are able to provide a custom solution to meet the needs of any existing or new application.
Using state-of-the art software and in-house manufacturing, our design team can swiftly customize or model new features. With a rapid prototyping service that is genuinely rapid, we can prove new concepts quickly and at relatively low cost.
