The recently introduced PLPE50, PLPE70, PLPE90, and PLPE120 low backlash high value planetary servo-gear-heads are now also available in right angle power flow as WPLPE50, WPLPE70, WPLPE90, and WPLPE120. The combination of a right angle 1:1 bevel stage at the input with the planetary output stage facilitates a space saving mounting configuration. The output stage is the high torque density planetary hence the bevel stage does not limit the torque. This design approach allows offering the same high torque ratings like an in-line “planetary only design”.

The output shaft and mounting face is identical; “geometrically drop in compatible” with the popular LP style output.

The generous output shaft bearing support allows exceptional high shaft loads.

The motor interface design allows virtually unlimited flexibility. The motor shaft is securely clamped with the Neugart precision clamping device unlike some other “LP style” units, using only a crude radial setscrew to transfer the torque of the motor shaft.

Available WPLPE ratios are 3:1, 4:1, 5:1, 8:1, 9, 10:1, 12,15:1, 16:1, 20:1, 25:1, 32:1 40:1, 64:1 and 100. Continuous duty torques up to 195 Nm (depending upon size and ratio). Gearbox life is rated for 20000hrs.

The WPLPE product line is ideal for automation, motion control, robotics applications requiring good positioning accuracy, backlash between 12 to 25 arcmin, in a compact space saving right angle power flow, at a very competitive price.
