Lexitek Inc. offers affordable, belt driven rotary stages with a large clear aperture and 360° continuous rotation. The stages come in three speed versions and are stepper motor driven. They accommodate 4" diameter parts or larger with adapter plates. The clear aperture can be used for product feed-through, laser beam or other illumination delivery, or application-specific functions.
The LS-100, LS-100-SU, and HS-100 models are conservatively rated for 10, 100, and 300 rpm, respectively. A micro stepping driver is supplied which provides smooth motion. A home switch and motor shaft encoder are provided. The stages can also be supplied in a water resistant configuration. Various mounting options are available in addition to the original capability to mount optics of up to 4" diameter.
Lexitek also offers an inexpensive, standalone controller for these stages. The LSCv2 stepper motor controller is capable of point-to-point and continuous motion. Optimized for rotary stages, the controller is capable of running two independent stages simultaneously. The controller offers a standalone interface with a keypad and LCD display, but also has a RS-232 interface for computer control. A LabVIEW
