Ingenia Motion Control and Icarus Technology have developed a distributed motion control architecture, tested for demanding real-time and multi-axis robotics applications. At the heart of such architecture is the CMI-Master, a compact and affordable Single Board Computer coupled with a high-level software framework that makes easy to control any number of servo drives.

Tools to help developers
The top level multi-axis motion runs on a Linux OS with either hard or soft Real Time and includes Icarus CAN/MoveIt library.
Thanks to the concept of “Motor Abstract Layer“, CAN/MoveIt hides all the complex details of the communication protocol; you no longer need to spend time anymore learning CANopen to control your devices.
