In a move to streamline corporateidentity and improve customer response, Clare Inc. is officially IXYS IntegratedCircuits Division

Beverly, MA – Clare, Inc.,an IXYS company (NASDAQ: IXYS News) andwholly owned subsidiary of IXYS, announces that it has changed the companyname to IXYS Integrated Circuits Division. The Division designs,manufactures, and markets a wide variety of semiconductor devices, andis a major provider of optically isolated electronic products.

“Our name change allows us to synergisticallysell our IXYS Integrated Circuits devices with IXYS Corporate power products,such as MOSFETs, IGBTs and rectifier diodes,” said Division President,Mark Heisig, “as well as to streamline our corporate identity.”

Clare, Inc., founded by Carl P. Clare in1937 as C. P. Clare & Company, designed and manufactured electromechanicalrelays for the rapidly growing power and telephony markets of the time.C. P. Clare & Company products found their way into aviation and communicationsproducts during World War II. Continuously operating under variousnames from 1937 until the present, C. P. Clare & Company, as Clare,Inc., was purchased by IXYS Corporation in 2002.
